Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully (“Terms”) since thru using this booking engine, you announces your acceptance of these Terms, whether you decide to register or not. This booking engine is powered by CarTrawler technology and lets you use CarTrawler technology to book introduction service for car hire. By accepting the Terms and / or using any part of this booking engine, you agree to use this booking engine and the technology that drives it, and as provided in this booking engine in accordance with the Terms and conditions of use are an agreement between CarTrawler and you.
CarTrawler may revise this legal notice at any time by updating this posting. You should check the booking engine from time to time to review the legal notice in force at the time, because it is binding. Some provisions of this legal notice may be superseded by expressly designated legal notices or terms located on particular pages of the booking engine.
This legal notice is issued by Etrawler Limited, an Irish registered company operating as CarTrawler.

CarTrawler facilitates the booking of car hire services and provide introduction services for car rental. CarTrawler does not own and does not operate car rental companies. Your contract for car rental is concluded between you and the car rental company. The terms of the rental agreement between you and the car rental company is available in this booking engine when you choose type of car and fill in other relevant information. CarTrawler makes no warranty or representation regarding any car rental company or a vehicle rented by any rental company. It is solely the rental company’s responsibility to provide you with a rental vehicle rented on this booking engine.
All references to booking engine in these Terms and Conditions are deemed to include references to all bookings made through CarTrawler call center.

Credit cards-/administration fee, if applicable, that CarTrawler will charge you is non-refundable under any circumstances. It is the car rental company’s responsibility to process your reservation correctly. The information you provide on this booking engine helps to how achieve a correct rental price of a vehicle referred to in this booking engine and bookings made on this booking engine.
ACCESS OF SERVICE
While CarTrawler strive to ensure that the booking engine is normally usable 24 hours a day, CarTrawler will not be held liable if the booking engine for any reason is not usable for any time period. Access to the booking engine can be suspended temporarily and without notice in the event of system failure, maintenance, repair or for reasons out of CarTrawler’s control.
LIABILITY
In the event of conflict between CarTrawler and you, our liability to you, if any, is limited to the amount of our introductory service fee that you paid when you booked the vehicle.
CarTrawler does hereby, to the extent permitted by law, liabilities (whether expressed or implied) to the quality, completeness, performance or fitness for a particular purpose of (i) the vehicle booked through this booking engine and (ii) this booking engine and its contents, including, but not limited to, any information relating to car rental included in this booking engine and the technology that drives it and offered in this booking engine. CarTrawler reserves the right to make changes to the booking engine at any time. The information contained in this booking engine is updated from time to time. By using this booking engine you acknowledge that the rental data and other information, including but not limited to, information relating to travel and holidays published on this booking engine may contain inaccuracies or typographical errors.
All bookings you make for car hire in this booking engine is done with a car rental company and not CarTrawler. CarTrawler and this booking engine facilitate only the booking process with the car rental company. CarTrawler is not a party to the agreement between you and the car rental company and has no responsibility or liability (directly or indirectly) to any party regarding the conditions of your contract with the car rental company or the problems that arise with the vehicle rented pursuant to that agreement or other problems between you and car rental company. When you book a vehicle through this booking engine, you are bound by and deemed to have accepted the terms and conditions relating to car rental company in question.
EXCEPT FOR THE SCOPE CONTRARY TO THE LAW, NEITHER CARTRAWLER OR ANY OF ITS DIRECTORS, SHAREHOLDERS, EMPLOYEES, AFFILIATES, TRAVEL PARTNERS OR OTHER REPRESENTATIVES CAN BE LIABLE FOR ANY LOSS OR DAMAGE ARISING FROM, OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE USE OF THE INFORMATION, PRODUCTS, SERVICES AND / OR MATERIALS OFFERED THROUGH THIS BOOKING ENGINE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA, INCOME, PROFIT OR OPPORTUNITY, LOSS OF OR DAMAGE TO PROPERTY AND THIRD PARTY CLAIMS, OR INDIRECT OR CONSEQUENTIAL FÖRSLUSTER OR DAMAGES HOWEVER ARISING, ALTHOUGH CarTrawler HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH LOSS OR DAMAGES, OR SUCH LOSS OR DAMAGE WAS REASONABLY FORESEEABLE.
The list of travel information or services or links in this booking engine is not and should not be viewed as a recommendation from CarTrawler or warranty or representation that the travel information or services are of a certain standard or suitable for your purposes. CarTrawler shall in no way be liable to you in the event that the travel information or services are not suitable for your purposes. You should use your own discretion when using this information.
UNLAWFUL OR PROHIBITED USE
A condition of using this booking engine is that you commit yourself to CarTrawler to NOT use this booking engine for the purpose that is unlawful or prohibited by, or contrary to, the Terms of Use.
AGE AND RESPONSIBILITY
By using this booking engine you acknowledge that you are of legal age to use this booking engine and to create binding legal obligations for any liability you may incur as a result of using this booking engine. By using this booking engine, you understand that you are responsible, financially and otherwise, for any use of this booking engine of you and of those using your login information. CarTrawler recommend that you protect your login information.

This booking engine can provide links to resources that exist on servers or sites belonging to parties other than CarTrawler. If you use these links, you leave this booking engine (website). Such hyperlinks are provided only for reference and for convenience. The inclusion of hyperlinks on this booking engine to other websites or servers does not imply an endorsement of the material on such websites or servers (including but not limited to material relating to travel information or services) or associated with its operators. CarTrawler has no control over and is not responsible for such websites or servers or the parties operating such websites or servers and accordingly accepts CarTrawler no responsibility or liability for material contained on those servers or websites, or the accuracy or legality of the information contained in other sites or servers. You should use your own discretion when communicating and using the services of such other sites or servers. If you decide to use any of those third party websites that link to this booking engine (website), you do so entirely at your own risk
BOOKING CONDITIONS
Please read the following terms and conditions that apply to reservations / bookings you make for the car rental through this booking engine.
A. How to make a reservation
Car4Trip / CarTrawler operates globally, which means that there are three kinds of payment methods when a booking is made. These are described below:
You pay a deposit when you make your booking and the remainder is paid to the car rental company on arrival, or
You pay the entire rental fee for the rented vehicle when you make the reservation and only pay for the petrol / diesel and optional add-ons on arrival, or
You pay nothing at the time of booking. CarTrawler makes the reservation on your behalf without obtaining money and you pay the car rental company the full amount of the rented vehicle on arrival.
Payment method for your booking is dependent on the location and/or the car rental companies used and you will be informed of any payment in advance before you complete your booking. Where applicable, you are responsible for paying the balance that you owe the car rental company. You are always responsible for paying for any additional services/costs that you are requesting, and you are responsible for any other service charges that car rental company in question adds. You must use a credit card or debit card or PayPal to use the service offered by this website. Please note that not all car rental companies accept debit cards or PayPal.
When you make a reservation with your credit card, debit card or PayPal on this site, you accept that if the reservation is canceled less than 48 hours before the rental of the vehicle is expected to begin, according to a booking made on this site, the money paid (reservation down payment and our administration fee) will be retained by CarTrawler and is non-refundable. If the entire rental amount is also paid, CarTrawler will retain 3 days rental and service charge and is not responsible for the repayment of rental amount and you hereby acknowledge that CarTrawler has no liability for the total rental amount under any circumstances.
If you need to make changes in your reservation, you must notify CarTrawler through CarTrawler Support Website and clearly inform CarTrawler about the exact details of such a change. CarTrawler does not warrant that such changes can be treated, but will do everything to achieve a favorable outcome. Changes cannot be processed after the vehicle has been collected.
CarTrawler cannot offer you a refund if you cancel the rental of the vehicle before end of rental period. In case you want to extend the rental period after you have collected the vehicle (days not covered by CarTrawler-coupon), you must pay the rental office directly to local rental rates in effect at that time. When you make the booking/reservation it is your responsibility to inform the car rental company of any physical or mental illnesses that are relevant for the rental of vehicles. If an accident occurs, it can affect insurance if you fail to inform the rental company about the disease. When you pick up the rented vehicle, you will need to show driver’s license (British license in two parts) from the country of origin, a valid passport and a valid credit card in rental (driver’s) name. In case you fail to produce the documents required, the car rental company may refuse to hire the vehicle to you and in that case no money already paid will be refunded. If you make a reservation but do not pick up the vehicle, no money already paid will be refunded. Please note that in case of delayed arrival, it is the customer’s responsibility to contact the car rental office. In case a flight is canceled or delayed CarTrawler will not be held liable for money paid.
B. Reservation Confirmation
Once your reservation is confirmed CarTrawler will issue a booking confirmation for the car on behalf of the rental company for each booking, but does not undertake to include charges for additional services or information on handling fees or taxes charged by the car rental company, or additional services that you request at the collection site.
CarTrawler recommend that you check your data carefully, such as country, location, and the rental period. If there are any discrepancies, you should immediately report this via our Web site engine by clearly informing CarTrawler of such deviations. CarTrawler advise you to read and follow the car rental company’s terms and conditions (contained in this booking engine but can be changed by the car rental company from time to time). Following this makes car rental vehicle available to you upon receipt of confirmation. Reservation numbers that are available on the booking confirmation should always be stated with requests, cancellations and changes to the reservation.
C. Cancellations
Cancellations must be made at least forty-eight (48) hours before the rental of the vehicle is expected to begin, according to a booking made on this booking engine. If you wish to cancel a booking the only accepted method is through our Cartrawler Site. If you cancel the car from the rental office directly, additional fees may apply.
The following charges apply to cancellations with booking that have been paid in advance:
If a cancellation notice is received by CarTrawler within seven (7) days from the date the vehicle is booked and at least forty-eight (48) hours before the rental of the vehicle is expected to begin, according to a booking made on this booking engine, all money will be refunded
If a cancellation notice is received by CarTrawler more than seven (7) days from the date the vehicle is booked and at least forty-eight (48) hours before the rental of the vehicle is expected to begin, according to a booking made on this booking engine, all money will be refunded, except for one cancellation fee of EUR 25.00 and card processing fee (if applicable).
If a cancellation notice is received by CarTrawler less than forty-eight (48) hours before the rental of the vehicle is expected to begin, according to a booking made on this booking engine, no refunds will be made, unless the entire rental amount has been paid in advance. In this case CarTrawler retains a three-day rental fee and card processing fee (if applicable).
The following charges apply to cancellations with booking that have been partly paid:
If a cancellation notice is received by CarTrawler within seven (7) days from the date the vehicle is booked and at least forty-eight (48) hours prior to the hire of the vehicle is expected to begin, according to a booking made on this booking engine, all the money will be refunded.
If a cancellation notice is received by CarTrawler more than seven (7) days from the date the vehicle is booked and at least forty-eight (48) hours before the rental of the vehicle is expected to begin, according to a booking made on this booking engine, all money will be refunded, except for one cancellation fee of EUR 25.00 and card processing fee (if applicable).
If a cancellation notice is received by CarTrawler less than forty-eight (48) hours before the rental of the vehicle is expected to begin, according to a booking made on this booking engine, no refunds will be made.
The following apply to cancellations with booking without payment at the time of booking:
If a reservation is cancelled, in which the entire rental amount is due upon arrival, no fee for cancellation is charged, but you still have to cancel your reservation through our Cancellation site our through Cartrawler Support.
It is the consumer’s responsibility to personally cancel all additional products that they may have purchased in connection with (alongside) the vehicle reservation, ie. REIMBURSEMENT OF EXCESS ELIMINATION FOR THEFT AND LOSS through third parties such as Mondial.
If you cancel or change a credit card/debit card booking CarTrawler will not be held liable for financial losses that you suffer as a result of changes in exchange rates between your original booking and its subsequent cancellation or modification (if applicable).
D. Pricing
CarTrawler makes every effort to ensure that the prices quoted when the booking is made on this booking engine are correct in all material respects. CarTrawler reserves the right to change the price quoted when the booking is made, in the event of an apparent or clear error in the price quoted. CarTrawler will endeavor to notify the customer as soon as reasonably possible, in the event that the price quoted when the booking is made is not correct. If the price quoted has been changed when the booking is made, the customer may decide to pay the amended price or alternatively the customer is entitled to receive all money refunded. Exchange rates that CarTrawler use to display the prices in the currency selected by the customer is updated regularly. Exchange rates as your credit card company uses can vary. CarTrawler cannot be held responsible for any discrepancies between the price displayed by CarTrawler and the amount that your credit card company will charge, because of the exchange rate used.
E. Complaints Procedure
Complaints are only accepted in writing and must be registered with CarTrawler Support and received within 30 days after completion (return of the rented vehicle). Complaints received after this period is not addressed.
NO LIABILITY FOR TRANSACTIONS MADE WITH CREDIT OR DEBIT CARD
CarTrawler strive to ensure that all transactions with credit and debit cards in this booking engine is secure. BUT, if you discover unauthorized charges on your credit or debit card statement for the card used in this booking engine at any time during or after you have made your reservation, conducted your transaction or disclosed your card details on this booking engine, CarTrawler will not be held liable or responsible in any way for damage or losses of any kind that you incur in connection with such use, transaction, or discovery, subject only to any statutory rights which you may have. Please note that this booking engine is protected by VeriSign.
COPYRIGHT, NOTICE AND LIMITED LICENCE
All information in this booking engine, including but not limited to, content, text, graphics, images, trade names, structure, photographs, buttons, drawings, computer code is protected by copyright, intellectual property laws and by law and international treaties and is available only for personal use only. Unless you have written consent from Car Trawler to the contrary, you may only use the booking engine and its contents for personal, noncommercial use.
You are not authorized to modify, copy, distribute, collate, transfer, reproduce or display any of the above for personal or business use. In particular, by continuing to enter this booking engine, you agree to:
Not use the booking engine to make speculative or false reservation
Not use the booking engine to do research for suppliers or supplier prices
Not use the name “CarTrawler” or something CarTrawler-brand for commercial purposes without obtaining prior permission from CarTrawler, and
Not to reproduce material from this booking engine (website) for any commercial purpose.
DISCLAIMER
This booking engine is available to users as such and CarTrawler makes no warranty or representation that (i) this booking engine, or the technology (servers etc.) that makes it accessible and run is without errors or defects or (ii) that the information set up in this booking engine is not infected by viruses or anything else with contaminated or destructive properties. CarTrawler accepts no responsibility for any infection or effects from harmful applications such as, but not limited to, viruses, Trojans, tampering, fraud or theft, error, technical failure, omissions, delays, unauthorized access or any phenomenon that corrupts the acceptable administration, communication and integrity of this booking engine.
EXCEPTION
Our failure to at any time or for any period execute one or more Terms and Conditions shall not be considered an exception of them or the rights attached to any of them.
HEADINGS AND CARTRAWLER
The headings used in these Terms and Conditions are for reference and shall not affect the meaning or scope of these Terms and Conditions. CarTrawler is a company owned by Etrawler Limited and all references to CarTrawler in these Terms and Conditions is considered to contain a reference to Etrawler Limited. All references to the booking engine (Website) in these Terms and Conditions is deemed to include references to all bookings made through CarTrawler call center.
CHANGES TO TERMS
CarTrawler reserves the right to change the Terms and Conditions and the content of this booking engine as needed and without notice and without liability to you, any other user or third parties. This right shall not affect the Terms accepted by you, the user, when you are making a legitimate reservation or purchase using this booking engine. You should check if any changes were made to these Terms and Conditions each time you go into the booking engine. The Car Rental Company may from time to time change its terms (which are available in this booking engine) upon which they make the rented vehicle available to you. CarTrawler is not responsible and shall have no liability if the car rental company’s terms and conditions contained in this booking engine has been modified or amended by the car rental company.
GENERAL CONDITIONS
Terms of Use and your use of and access to this booking engine is governed by the laws of Ireland. The courts of Ireland shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising between you and CarTrawler from or in connection with your use of this booking engine. The use of this booking engine is not authorized in any jurisdiction that does not implement all the provisions of the Terms, including without limitation this paragraph. You agree that no relationship, partnership, employment or agency relationship exists between you and CarTrawler as a result of the Terms or your use of this booking engine. Our executive of the Terms is subject to existing laws and legal process, and nothing contained in this Agreement shall prevent CarTrawler from complying with the maintenance of law and order or governmental authorities requests or requirements relating to your use of this booking engine or information provided to, or collected by, CarTrawler against such use and CarTrawler shall have no liability in respect of such compliance. Although CarTrawler cannot monitor the conduct of its user’s offsite, it is a violation of these Terms and Conditions to use information from this booking engine that harass abuse or harm other people, or to contact, advertise to, molest or sell to any user or person without their express consent.
PRIVACY POLICY
CarTrawler recognizes and acknowledges the importance of responsible use of personal information collected on this booking engine. Consequently CarTrawler exercise extreme caution with personal information, taking steps to protect it and ensure that it is used only for legitimate business purposes. Any information you provide CarTrawler will be treated in accordance with the terms of the Data Protection Acts, 1988 and 2003 and / or such amendment or replacement in legislation to be introduced in Ireland from time to time.
In order for us to process a booking for you, we need some information from you. This includes your name, your nationality, your gender (or sex of the group you travel with), your telephone number and your email address. We also need your credit or debit card information so we can guarantee your leased vehicle when you pay your rental amount and / or advance. You give your consent to CarTrawler to store your personal data in order to allow for rental of vehicles in this booking engine and to reveal your personal information to a car rental company when you book a vehicle from the car rental company with this booking engine.
We need to send your information to the car rental company when you book a vehicle from the car rental company with this booking engine so that car rental company knows who you are and where you are going to use its car rental services. We provide your name, your nationality, your gender (or sex of the group you travel with), your telephone number, your e-mail address, your credit card number and of course your booking details. Car rental company needs this information to accept a confirmed booking from you.
You should be aware that if you link to another website from this booking engine, CarTrawler has no control over that other website. Consequently, CarTrawler doesnot guarantee that the supervisor of that website will respect confidentiality in the same way as CarTrawler.
We only use your e-mail address to send you a booking confirmation or contact you for any reason directly related to the reservation, or to occasionally inform you of new features in the booking engine. We only use your phone number if we need to contact you immediately because of a problem with your booking. You have right to ask for a copy of the information we store about you (for which we may charge a small fee) and get errors in the information corrected.
Now and then we can provide statistics about our customers to third parties such as car rental companies and other agents. These statistics never contain personally identifiable information.
CarTrawler, ITS DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, OFFICERS AND AGENTS, AFFILIATES AND AGENTS AND THEIR RESPECTIVE PARENT AND AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR DEMANDS, CRISES, CLAIMS, MOTIONS, DAMAGES, LOSSES, EXPENSES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, REASONABLE ATTORNEYS FEES AND LEGAL EXPENSES INCURRED FROM OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE USE AND / OR DISCLOSURE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION RELATING TO YOU IN ACCORDANCE WITH THIS PRIVACY POLICY AND YOUR CONSENT.
